The requirements for obtaining a certificate based on miscellaneous body's requirements may vary dependent upon the issuer. Examples of these types of certifications may be minority ownership certifications, in which case a local government may identify requirements related to ownership, income or number of employees or industry knowledge-based certifications such as six-sigma in which the certificate issuer determines whether an individual meets their certification criteria, perhaps through testing or training exercises.
